Well…much to my utter chagrin, we are still in fact in the US of A. Due to terrible thunderstorms in Indy, we left for our connecting flight in D.C. about 2h 15min late (but who’s counting?).
When we arrived to D.C. finally, we learned that the earliest flight we could get on was 8:40am the next morning.
We spent our night in the airport, sleeping on chairs, sharing one pillow between two of us, and freezing cold, right beneath a very loud TV that was broadcasting a report about Donald Trump’s view on abortion, that apparently changed 3 times in the same day. Wow. Who knew I could learn so much about something I never wanted to know about.
So, here we sit, only having found blankets about an hour ago, having been scolded by Customer Service Guy for walking up to his desk before he had called us up…5 star service right there!
It’s a good thing we didn’t have much planned for today in London, as instead of arriving at 11am, we will arrive at 10pm (London time). Wish us luck that this day will be better than the last!
-Two very tired, (but thank goodness tooth-brushed), weary American travelers…who at this point would take a pontoon boat across the pond if that was possible.
